Tesla
(The real world music)

The basic principle of this instrument is based on the operation of the Theremin. On the other side, it is much, much more expensive, it requires much more space, its operation is multiple and changing, and its use can be somehow dangerous.

Basically, this instrument combines the Theremin, the laser harp and activities of HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program), that is supposed to be a research on aurora borealis.

The basic principle of the Theremin is as follows: there are two antennas that detects hand movements by capturing the interference it creates.
One of the antennas used to the sound tone and the other for volume. Each of these antennas operate on their own capture mode frequency. To create the tone, it's actually two oscillators that generate high-frequency waves: one fixed and one variable. When these inaudible frequencies of the order of some hundred KHz pass through the mixer, it is their sum and difference that we obtain and by passing through the filter, it leaves only the difference frequency  that creates audible frequencies to human ears: (20 to 20000Hz). The sound is then amplified and this is almost the same principle to the volume antenna.

For the laser harp, this is a Theremin where they added an optical sensing system that detects the reaction of a hand when it intersects a beam of a visible laser array. A  pickup voltage is recorded at each fret position passed by the hand.

HAARP IS NOT a musical instrument!
But it is the most dangerous between the three. It is mostly used by the U.S. army and Scientists and their base is in Kirkland, Alaska. This is "a Premier Facility for the Study of Ionospheric Physics and Radio Science." They use a network of some 180 high frequency antennae which receive the rays of the upper atmosphere: the ionosphere. The frequency range extends from 2.75 to 10 MHz.

What would Happened if we mix the three? So the instrument is constructed as follows: with HAARP antennas capturing these high frequencies, it would be possible to build a giant mixer and filter capable to deal with this frequency range. Then it would also be possible to project ultra-powerful lasers that would be intercepted by the clouds and the aurora borealis. This instrument could produce sound without any human contact, but to have better interaction with the instrument, it would also be possible to build mechanical arms that can alter the laser radiation and the Theremin.

This is truly science fiction, and if it can be possible the dangers related to that instrument can be as important as earthquakes, changes in currents in the atmosphere and all the other problems already associated with HAARP. So be careful, science fiction almost always own truth essence!
